In term of the mileage reimbursement, there is no exact figure could be referenced. However, according to the MOF ruling no.35247, expense claim for transportation within a city should not exceed the taxi fares charged for same mileage.

At present, basic charge of city cab is around NT$70, and additional fee will be charged at NT$25-29 per km. While for inter-city transportation, the expense claim should not exceed the highest fare of train or bus. It seems that the highest fare now for train comes from Taiwan High Speed Rail, and its fare for trip from Taipei to Kaohsiung is NT$3,060 (around 340km). Such a charge makes its fare around NT$9 per km.
