ESG Measures
The measures promoted by the office in recent years are as follows:
◆ To help promote workflow, documents and forms have been digitized to reduce paper usage.
◆ We’ve advocated for the habit of turning off lights and powering down electronic devices when not in use.
◆ To avoid excessive packaging of products and additional packaging materials, we strive to use only the original packaging for shipments
◆ We’ve replaced energy-consuming lighting fixtures with more energy-efficient LED fixtures.
◆ We’ve set office equipment to energy-saving mode to reduce standby power waste. (Screens set to energy-saving mode)
◆ We encourage turning off lights in the office during lunch break for energy savings of 1 hour.
◆ To conserve electricity, we set the air conditioning temperature to 27°C. If the indoor temperature is below 20 degrees, we use circulating fans instead of the air conditioning system.
◆ We unplug kitchen appliances outside of lunch hours.
◆ We’ve installed timed switches for water dispensers/ecological tanks.
◆ During holidays or overtime at night, desk lamps are used instead of overhead lights if there are fewer than two people.
◆ Employees are encouraged to bring personal utensils and water bottles to reduce disposable waste. (Bring personal utensils when dining out or bringing home meals)
◆ Waste sorting and resource recycling has been implemented
◆ Battery recycling
◆ The office also strives to use recycled materials or engage in green procurement to reduce environmental impact.
Weight Loss Measures
Our goal is to achieve an overall annual reduction of 1-10% in greenhouse gas emissions compared to the previous year as well as advocate the virtues of water and energy conservation as we gradually shift towards becoming a low-carbon green enterprise.
Helping businesses and individuals achieve environmental protection can also return cost savings to employees. We ask employees to:
◆ Turn off lights when not needed: Use natural light as much as possible during the day and only use electric lights when natural light is insufficient. Always turn off lights when leaving the office or meeting room.
◆ Bring your own cup: Bring a coffee or tea cup from home to the office. (Use a mug cup for visitors)
◆ Think twice before printing: Before printing documents, consider whether it is necessary for everyone in the meeting to have a printed copy. Send PDF files to attendees in advance, encourage attendees to bring laptops for viewing files, or use a projector to display your presentation. (Online lecture notes/laptops for classes)
◆ Adopt a digital office approach: Don't have to print out data to read it; organize information online and document insights on the computer, minimizing the use of paper. (Optimize review processes without printing on paper)
◆ Carpool: When traveling for work, plan transportation wisely. If individual travel is convenient, use public transportation; For team travel, share a taxi or rent a car together. This not only saves travel expenses but also reduces carbon emissions.
◆ Plant greenery whenever possible: When decorating the office environment, prioritize choices that contribute to greening the office. Plants can effectively absorb indoor pollutants.
